Keep Maui’s Performing Arts in Harmony

Maui’s performing arts community is the heartbeat of our island. From stirring musical performances to powerful dance and theatre, these artists and the technical crews working behind the scenes, bring our stories to life. Yet many live paycheck to paycheck. A sudden medical crisis, loss of housing, or other emergency can jeopardize their livelihoods and, by extension, the vibrancy of our arts scene.

Why the Harmony Care Fund Matters

The Harmony Care Fund ensures that no one in our performing arts family faces hardship alone. Through your generosity, we can provide immediate assistance for:

Emergency medical expenses and health care
Housing and utility bills during times of crisis
Groceries, transportation and other essential needs
Caregiving support when injury or illness strikes
Assistance for replacing lost or damaged artistic tools (instruments, costumes, props, etc.)

This fund not only helps performers but also lighting technicians, sound engineers, stage managers and all who make the magic of live performance possible.

Harmony Care Application

We recognize that unexpected hardships can disrupt an artist’s ability to create and perform. This emergency fund provides urgent financial assistance to Maui-based artists facing economic challenges, health crises, or loss of work due to natural disasters (such as the Lahaina fires).

Who It’s For:

Professional or emerging performing artists residing in Maui.
Those experiencing financial hardship due to loss of work, medical emergencies, housing instability, or natural disasters (e.g., Lahaina fires).

What It Covers:

Emergency medical expenses and health care
Housing and utility bills during times of crisis
Groceries, transportation and other essential needs
Caregiving support when injury or illness strikes
Assistance for replacing lost or damaged artistic tools (instruments, costumes, props, etc.)

Eligibility:

Must be a resident of Maui.
Must show proof of financial hardship.
Provide a brief statement on the impact of the emergency and how the grant will assist.

Complete the Application
Submit Required Documents – Including financial need statement, artistic goals, and recommendation letter (for scholarships).
Notification & Funding – Scholarship applicants will be notified within 1-3 weeks.
