The Wave of Harmony Scholarship Program is dedicated to empowering aspiring performers and artists by providing scholarships to individuals pursuing education and training in the performing arts. Our mission is to create opportunities for talented individuals to further their education, enhance their skills, and pursue their passion for the arts without financial barriers.

Program Overview

The Wave of Harmony Scholarships offers financial assistance to students and emerging artists in Maui who are committed to advancing their education in fields such as theatre, dance, music, and other performing arts disciplines. Through our scholarships, we aim to nurture local talent and ensure that financial barriers do not hinder the pursuit of artistic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be residents of Maui.
Must be enrolled in or have been accepted to a recognized institution or program in the performing arts.
Demonstrate a passion for and commitment to pursuing a career in the performing arts.
Preference may be given to individuals who have contributed to or been involved in local cultural and artistic initiatives.

Scholarship Details

Award Amount: Scholarships will range from $500 to $5,000, depending on the applicant's needs and the availability of funds.
Application Cycle: Scholarships are awarded annually, with the application process opening in January and closing in March.
Number of Awards: The number of scholarships awarded each year will vary based on the availability of funds.

Application Process

Application Form: Complete the Wave of Harmony Scholarship Program application form, which includes personal information, educational background, and financial need.
Personal Statement: Submit a personal statement (500-1,000 words) outlining your passion for the performing arts, your educational and career goals, and how the scholarship will support your journey.
Portfolio: Provide a portfolio showcasing your work in the performing arts. This may include videos, photos, or recordings of performances.
Recommendation Letters: Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or professionals in the performing arts community.
Interview (optional): Finalists may be invited for an interview with the Stage Lights Scholarship Committee.

Selection Process

A committee of professionals from the performing arts community, education, and previous scholarship recipients will review the applications. The selection process will be based on:
